It is important for you to feel safe and protected in the psychotherapy or counselling sessions. For this reason I subscribe to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Code of Ethics and Practice and the Foundation of Psychotherapy and Counselling's (FPC/WPF) Code of Ethics and UKCP Code of Ethics and Practice, and BPC Code of Ethics and Practice, regarding the confidential nature of the psychotherapy and counselling process and matters of ethics and practice, each contain a complaints procedure. A copy of these codes are available on request.
